Terms of use

Last updated October 20, 2026

By using MedAccountability (the “Service”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

The Service republishes public government records about health-care providers, facilities and manufacturers for informational purposes. Please read the Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

2. Prohibited uses

  • Any purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar laws, including employment, credit, insurance, housing or tenant-screening decisions.
  • Harassing, threatening, stalking or defaming any person, or publishing information from the Service out of context to mislead.
  • Scraping or bulk downloading outside the documented API and its rate limits, or attempting to circumvent access controls.
  • Reselling or relicensing the data without a data-licensing agreement.

3. Accounts, subscriptions and API keys

Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; access continues until the end of the paid period. Keep API keys confidential — you are responsible for use of your keys.

4. Accuracy and no warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedAccountability and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any decision made in reliance on the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

6. Corrections and takedown requests

We will review reported errors promptly. We do not remove accurate public records on request, but we will correct inaccuracies, fix mismatches and remove records that the source has withdrawn.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
